Opening Day - Silverado Little League

Cole has officially moved up to the "big leagues".  This year we registered him in the local little league.  The last two years we settled for NYS but he loves him some baseball so we figured it was time to move into a much more organized league.
Today was opening day for Silverado Little League.  It was a pretty exciting day for the boys and the parents.  First thing in the morning the boys received their uniforms and took their photos.
This year Cole is on the Diamondbacks!  He loves his team name because him and his sister have been watching so much Nat Geo Wild that they have every species pegged.

After photos we entered the team gift basket raffle.  Each team had to provide a gift basket to be raffled off as a fundraiser.  We were hoping to win the NY Giants basket but unfortunately we didn't have any luck!

Later in the afternoon all the teams lined the field, were introduced and got to run the bases!  The boys were sooooo excited!  They were scheduled to play a two inning scrimmage but unfortunately the weather turned to nasty.  The coach instead let each boy hit the ball and run the bases.  He didn't want to completely deflate their excitement due to a little wind and rain.  All in all it was an AWESOME time...now bring on the games!

Cole's End of the Season T-Ball Party

Cole had his end of the season T-Ball party at Chuckee Cheese. I knew he would be sooooo excited to get his very first trophy. He has always admired Kadence's trophies and I knew his first one would be so special to him.

Batter Up!

Hey Batter Batter SWWWIIINNNGGG Batter! Cole's first T-ball game was today. It had to be one of the cutest things I had ever seen. Charlie got him suited up and ready to go.
Daddy was so excited, he even bought eye black for Cole...He looked absolutely ADORABLE!

The whole family made it to the game including Grandma & Grandpa Syrros, Aunt Julie, even Aunt Laurie and Ken who were in town from Montana.
Coach Bryan gave the kids a good pep talk and then it was time to get started!Love this picture of him :)Ready and waiting for the hit down the third base line. He played third just like daddy does.Charlie hardly left his side.I loved the fact that there was part of the Vegas skyline (S. Las Vegas Blvd.) in the background. After the game we all headed to T-Bird for lunch. Cole put his eye black on me and told me, "Mommy, you boo-ti-ful!"

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Cole is an official baseball player now. Okay, let me correct myself, an official t-ball player. I am so excited for him because he truly loves playing baseball. Baseball is what makes him happy so I knew there were no ands, ifs or buts about it, he needed to play.

I will be honest, I was extremely nervous for his first practice. My son is not the best listener so I went in thinking that it was going to be rough. Boy was I wrong. I really need to give Cole-man some credit. He was probably the best listener of the whole bunch! Now I can't wait till he gets his little uniform and has his first game! Watch out world, here he comes!
